青涯
SEIGAI
青涯（SEIGAI）は、固定的なキャラクターに縛られない複数の身体によって立ち上がる創造体である。
2019年に嶋津和子（劇作家・演出家・オートゥールパフォーマー）と吉村広野（プロデューサー・俳優・舞踏家）によって、美術家・脇谷紘の全面的な協力のもと結成された。
青涯の舞台は、境界を溶かす。
性別、年齢、ジャンル、形式、国境、観客との距離。
能の身体性と現代的感覚を往還しながら、沈黙と余白の中に静かな強度を立ち上げる。
それは「作品」を提示するというより、
場そのものを変容させる試みである。
その表現は海外でも上演され、現地レビューや観客から
「祈りのような舞台」
「言葉を超えた体験」
「沈黙がここまで雄弁だとは思わなかった」
と評された。
オーストラリア《GLAM ADELAIDE》誌はレビューの見出しに
“The Divine Power of Silence and Imagination”
と掲げ、
“The really powerful element used throughout… is the silence.”
と評している。
文化や言語を越えて共有される身体の感覚を探りながら、青涯は国境を横断する創造を続けている。

嶋津和子
日本語と英語の二言語で脚本・演出・出演を一貫して手がけるオートゥール・パフォーマー。
東京を拠点に、フランス、イギリス、オーストラリアなど国際舞台で活動し、詩的な言語、身体性に基づくドラマトゥルギー、視覚構築を融合した舞台作品を発表している。
その作品は海外メディアから “Strong”、“Powerful” と評され、
オーストラリアの芸術誌 GLAM ADELAIDE は、“The Divine Power of Silence and Imagination（静寂と想像の神聖な力）”
と評し、身体性の制御と神話的構造による没入的な舞台空間を特徴として挙げている。

能楽に由来する身体性をひとつの基軸としながら、神話・土地の記憶・歴史的想像力と向き合い、異なる文化圏の現代の観客と共有可能な物語構造を探求している。
創作テーマは「再生」「変容」「時間を越える物語」。言語・動き・視覚のミニマリズムを通して構築される舞台は、国際的な観客層との接点を生み出している。
2025年アヴィニヨンで世界初演された最新作 『Odyssey from the East』 は、
崩壊後の世界にアイヌ神話のイメージを重ね、人間の「生きようとする力」と未来を想像する能力を扱った作品。
観客からは「現代の祈りのような舞台」「言葉を超えた」「新しいアートの形」といった声が寄せられている。
現在は Auteur Performer として、脚本・演出・身体表現を一体的に扱い、舞台全体を牽引する新しいアーティスト像を提示。
文化的背景に根ざしながらも国際的に共有可能な舞台表現の新領域を切り拓いている。

Founder & Artistic Director of SEIGAI
Kazuko Shimazu is a bilingual (Japanese–English) auteur performer who writes, directs, and performs her own works—an artist working across the full spectrum of theatrical creation. Based in Tokyo and active internationally in France, the UK, Australia, and beyond, she has developed a distinctive theatrical world rooted in poetic language and precise visual dramaturgy.
Her works have been described by international media as “Strong” and “Powerful,” praised for their rigorous integration of body, language, and imagery.
Australia’s arts magazine GLAM ADELAIDE highlighted her work as
“The Divine Power of Silence and Imagination,”
noting the immersive quality created through the fusion of mythic structures and embodied performance.
Drawing on the physical vocabulary of Noh theatre, she bridges tradition and contemporaneity as a female creator. Her recurring themes—renewal, transformation, and timeless storytelling—are explored at major international festivals. Engaging with embodied memory, the narratives of land, and Indigenous knowledge, she continues to create works that move between Japan and Europe.
Her latest work, Odyssey from the East, premiered at the 2025 Avignon Festival. Inspired by Ainu cosmology and set in a post-collapse world, the piece examines the human will to live. Critics and audiences responded to its evocative blend of the personal and the universal, calling it “prayer-like” and “beyond words.”
As an Auteur Performer, Shimazu unifies writing, directing, and physical performance to lead the entire theatrical space, presenting a new model of contemporary artist. Her work continues to expand the possibilities of intercultural theatre and to craft stories that resonate across time and borders.

吉村広野
独自の「からだとことば」のレッスンで知られる竹内敏晴演劇研究所から派生した劇団阿彌に11年在籍後、2011年舞踏家に転身(北斗座所属）。2015年より能を粟谷明生（能楽師・重要無形文化財総合認定保持者）に師事。
2019年アートグループ青涯結成以降、能と舞踏の手法を織り交ぜ、独特の身体技法で人類共通の無意識世界を体現、影・霊・鳥など人ではない役を１作品の中で複数演じ分ける。

Hirono Yoshimura
actress/butoh dancer/president of SEIGAI
Having performed as an actress of AMI theater(founded by Yojiro Okamura)for 11 years, she faced the disaster of earthquake 11.3.2011 in Japan.
This leads to her dancing butoh and she joined Hokuto-za butoh dance group.
Trained by Akio Awaya(Kita noh master) since 2015.
