Sato Inn is a supporter of the Michinoku Coastal Trail hikers.

 

-Ideal Location-

 Sato Inn is located the ideal place for the hikers. The inn is by the trail route and less than 5 minutes walk distance from NAMIITA KAIGAN station of the SANRIKU RAILWAY.  You can leave your luggage before check-in and after check-out so you travel lightly.

Rail and walk is also fun. There are many sections where local trains run by the trail route.   

 

-Special Support- 

When you want to check out early morning, Onigiri (rice balls) are provided instead of the regular breakfast. (please be mentioned at check-in)

 

 

-The Michinoku Coastal Trail-

 The Michinoku Coastal Trail is over 1,000km long trail from AOMORI to FUKUSHIMA along the Pacific coast. This nature trail was featured as one of the 14 best place to visit in Japan on a web article by the British newspaper "The Times". (see the article)The most appealing points of the trail is the beautiful ocean landscape. On the OTSUCHI route, there are some geological spots and mountain hiking included.

A rare plant IWAUCHIWA wildflower, for a few weeks from middle of every April you can see it at the rocky area around the summit of KUJIRASAN mountain.
