OCEANS APART Artists for Japan Saturday 18th August 2012 10.00am-4.00pm At Quaker Meeting House, South Street, Bridport, Dorset Ceramics・Hand-made-books・Calligraphy Felt-work・Jewellery・Willow basket Sculpture・Origami・Woodcut & Linocuts Print& Paintings ・Plants・ Ikebana Cakes & Coffee ・Sushi Afternoon Entertainment from 2.30pm STORY TELLERS & MUSICIANS On 11th March 2011 one of the most powerful earthquakes ever recorded hit Japan causing a Tsunami that killed over 20,000 people. It also triggered the meltdown of the three reactors at the Fukushima Nuclear Plant, resulting in the local population being exposed to dangerous levels of radiation. We are supporting the NPO Yugakusha, a small charity set in the countryside which organizes holidays for the children from the contaminated areas.
